About me

My name is Allison Behnke and I'm excited to help you and your family!  My husband, two daughters, and I live on Lexi's Place Farm with our two horses, dogs, and cats.  I'm a Child/Family Therapist working with my two horses in practice to provide health, healing, and growth to children and their families.  Sharing the therapeutic power of horses and dogs is a true gift and one I'm so proud to call a job!  I spent time working for a small animal clinic as a tech and working for dog/cat rescue organizations helping animals to find their new loving homes.

 

I have grown up with horses and other animals and am proud to share my experiences, knowledge, love, and concern with your horses, dogs, cats, and other animals.  Mucking stalls, grooming, turning horses in and out, walking dogs, and generally giving animals love are some of the things that I find most therapeutic and wonderful in my life.  I will treat yours the same as I treat my own!

 

I am also a life-long runner and love to incorporate that into my work with dogs.  I believe strongly in the philosophy that exercise is the first ingredient in creating a healthy and happy dog.  With exercise that allows your dog to move forward and travel distances he will then be able to focus on his "job" and his family!  I am happy to provide runs!  I also offer hikes through the local woods and trails as a way for dogs to experience their environment and get some exercise.
