CEDC

 The Connecticut Equine Development Center was created to provide participants with a therapeutic and educational experience working with horses, counselors, equine specialists, and peers.  Equine-assisted therapy can positively impact clients coping with loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and other challenges.     Our positive strengths-based programming develop and strengthens  leadership, team-work, communication, self-confidence, self-control, and problem solving skills.  Clients partner with horses in therapeutic (and fun!) activities that challenge and inspire.  All activities with CEDC horses are “on the ground” and don’t include horse-back riding.  

Our programs are all offered at different times during the year, dependant on the season and needs of the community.  We offer equine-assisted growth and learning programs to children and adults ages 6 and up.  

Lexi's Place Farm is a private farm located in quiet Higganum, CT.  When you come out to the Farm you are treated to a tranquil private experience surrounded by Cockaponsett State Forest.  We are located right off Route 9-  just minutes from Middletown and accessible from many parts of Connecticut.
